A new prime minister

Well now we have a true twit as PM. The conservatives won a minority government last night. Alberta went 100% Conservative. I have no idea what's on their minds.

The bank of Canada raised it's rate by one quarter of a percentage point already.

Unfortunately I cannot vote, but from everything I have heard, seen, watched about Harper, we are in for a nasty ride.....::-|

Vid Vicious 01-24-2006 10:58 AM

it was destine to happen ... The Liberals really didn't give it's voters a choice

Don Soporno 01-24-2006 01:36 PM

Im not Canadian, I have no clue what you are talking about?

Quagmire 01-24-2006 01:51 PM

Minority governement folks. He's harmless without a majority. And we all know the Conservatives don't hold power for more than one term.

Conservative governments are always used as punishment because the Liberals started getting to comfortable holding power.

Relax, take a deep breath and come out from under the couch cushions. Its going to be ok.

Evil Chris 01-25-2006 02:36 PM

Quagmire I hope you're right. In fact, I'd like to see another election in 6 months that will bring the Liberals storming back to a majority government.

I still can't believe that every single seat in Alberta went to the Conservatives.

I'm an American - which means my knowledge of the world stops at the US borders, sad creatures that we are - but we have our "conservatives," too. They're called "Republicans" (among other things) and I devoutly hope that yours aren't any worse than ours.

They couldn't possibly be. ::-|

Could they?

I agree.
For Paul Martin to say he didn't know anything about the scandel was rediculous.
Admit it and say you messed up.
This way he looks like he either lied or didn't know what was going on in the finance dept. when he was the finance minister.

Either way it makes him and the Liberals look like crap.
The people also got fed up of all the lies and stories they have been fed.
And him not working on reparing the relationship with Canadla's biggest trading partner or working on the soft lumber issue which is teh result of the United States saying to Canada the big F-U
