Thinking of getting a new car... suggestions?

I've been considering getting rid of our 2nd car (it's a Golf). Reliable enough, but kinda small. It's got low mileage so we'll still get something for it.

Had my mind on a convertible but I'm not sure. Suggestions?

Quagmire 04-07-2006 01:15 PM

Volvo C70

What is your first car? Would you consider a Mustang Convertible, BMW something along that line?

Evil Chris 04-07-2006 04:27 PM

The Volvo is nice Quagmire.... sporty and luxury too. That's one I never thought of.

Stacy, the main ride here is the SUV of course. Need one if you have a young child, dog, and you're in the 'burbs. :) FB has always encouraged me to get a little BMW roadster, but it's just not practical anymore. Maybe I will in 10 years.

And by then, that cute little child will be old enough to mock you severely for it...but not yet old enough to try and filch the car keys! :D

I hear the Sebring is nice. ;)

Nickatilynx 04-07-2006 09:08 PM

Buy a New shape mustang convertible.

Cheap , reliable , quick enough and room for the occasional couple of kids in the back.

Also perfect for a two some for golf ( trunk is big enough for 2 bags)

:)

Newton 04-07-2006 09:10 PM

Indeed it is and perfect with the roof down and spanking it along the highways .. keeping within the speed limit of course :)

Addition: It does fucking shift too ..

Ya know Nick that's precisely what I had in mind. Got all my needs covered there. I've even been down to the dealer for a look. They aren't that expensive, and fun for the whole gang.

Vid Vicious 04-08-2006 11:35 AM

How much you want for the golf .. what year is it again?

Raven 04-08-2006 12:46 PM

Here's the thing. I will find it tough to part with my Golf. I bought long before I was ever in this business. It's a 96CL, and I only recently broke 70,000km. Baby mileage.

It runs like a dream still, and it immaculate. Like new apart from a bit of trim missing on the one side. And since it's a perfectly functioning car that is fully paid off, it's hard to part with it.

New... under 40K. The Mustang falls right in line. I think I'll be ordering one next winter.

Shann 04-09-2006 10:01 AM

Get a jeep! Nothing cooler than bombing around in that fucker with the top off! (well not so cool for those in the back mwahaha)

Virgule3 04-09-2006 11:26 AM

Personally, I don't like the new Mustang. I never liked Fords anyway... For the same kind of car, I'd go with a Charger! They are awesome! We rented one when we were in Vegas in January and it was super cool and it was the low end model as all the others were already rented.

Here's a picture of gorgeous Angelique posing with the car in the Nevada desert, about an hour outside of Vegas...

I recently bought a new car... A Grand Caravan. lol!!! What can I say, I have no kids but I have two big dogs and we like camping so it's the best car to haul all our stuff!

Not sexy nor classy but practical. hihi! Oh, and it's neither silver nor gold, it's some sort of cool blue. Gold and silver look too much like the regular family car!

< momentary thread hijack >

This is my absolute favorite "type" of adult pic. Sexy lady is outdoors and for the most part, clothed. My head can write a story for that pic. :)

So do I, that's why I do adult photography like this. Of course, I do hard core stuff as well, but I like to play with angles, lights, clothes, different settings, etc... Angelique is an amateur but she is a very professional amateur in the sense that her web site offers tons of quality pictures and videos.

Thanks for the compliments by the way. :)

Dude.. I would suggest a BMW 330 XI all wheel drive Bm'r perfect for the Montreal winters and slushy roads. The new 3 series look great and the reviews have been solid. I am looking to get a new second car next year or so.. I really like the Lexus IS 250 - or the BMW, I'de need a 5 series.. the 3's are tad small for me.

Kenny B 04-11-2006 03:02 PM

My girfriend is driving me crazy about ordering a Solstice, it's very resonably priced but living downtown getting anything new is just stupid imo.

Chris the g35 coupe is a sweet car!

Stephane76 04-11-2006 04:34 PM

allright, got the solution :)
Mustant 1990 Convertible + a dinner with ....

I have a mustang-GT now for a few years and has never let me down - but it really depends on what your using the car for - family/lugging crap around/long trips not too mention if you are intending on allowing anyone in your family borrow the car.

Virgule3 04-11-2006 06:35 PM

Oh, yeah, this is my summer car... Very sweet! And since this picture was taken, new mags were added as well as tons of other cool things you can't see on the picture...

It's an Alfa Romeo Spider Graduate 1988. It's in mint condition and I adore driving it! It's me in the car on the picture.

We just got rid of our Hummer H2 (didn't like it at all) Anna wanted a smaller SUV, better gas milage, more features etc. She had her eye on the Infinity FX45, and we almost got it.. But we were in the dealership getting the oil changed on the H2 and saw a '07 Tahoe LTZ. It had every feature the H2 had on it, plus every feature our '02 Vette has on it, and many more, all for about $7K cheaper than we paid for the H2. GM is hurting pretty good right now, and I think they are finally steping up to the plate on some of their vehicles. Anyway, we ended up getting it that day and love it. The gas milage is great, we get close to 20mpg and it also runs on the Ethenol E-85, although we don't have any stations around us yet that we can purchase it from.

j0el 04-13-2006 02:59 PM

I just bought a Mazda 6 Sport Wagon !

I love it...I can fit 4 golf bags !!! LOL
