Actually, there are a couple that I have been listening to lately!

Amanda by Boston, and
Sister Christian by Night Ranger

Both great songs, but a little bit sappy yes!

xxxmalouxxx 11-09-2006 10:53 PM

I'll never get tired of Carpenters and Abba.. lol
:worthy:

Carpenters are good. I'm not ashamed to say I like listening to them. :)
Their Christmas album is pretty good too.

Radiohead -- Creep.
I was ridiculed for a long time for liking (and even performing) this song. Oh, and

Nazereth -- Love Hurts.

Is "Your Song" by Elton John considered sappy?

Simon IA Cash 11-14-2006 03:53 PM

That's What Friends are For by... Dionne Warwick, I believe? That's about the sappiest song possible. Reminds me of slow dancing with girls at parties when I was 12 years old, and being happy I was dancing with the growth spurt girls so not only did they have boobs, but they were at the right height.

Not sappy! Good tune, and so is Sister Christian.

There are a lot of sappy Elton John songs though. "Someone saved my life tonight" comes to mind.
