Survivor Gabon

It appears that this will be the "wildest" Survivor to date.
CNN reports from an interview with Jeff Probst that pre-production is already seeing its fair share of problems with shipping delays and encroachment of wild animals.

This is Africa and not some cushy tropical Island in the Pacific. It always amazed me that one has ever been bit by anything venomous like snakes, spider, spiney fish and the like.

It should be interesting to say the least.

I agree... We haven't seen much (if any) problems with snakes or spiders etc.. on Survivor. At least nothing that they have shown, but I doubt they would edit that kind of thing out of the show. A lot of injuries recently though.

I have always said that I'd like to see Survivor take place in a cold environment like Alaska or Canada's North, but it will never happen.

I recall one episode where someone got burned by the campfire and had to be escorted via helicopter off the island. Almost seems like a blooper or serious accident. I'm surprised it wasn't cut.

They most likely have experienced guides off-camera which know the bush like the back of the hand to keep them outta danger.

That was season 2 in the Outback. I heard that they were going to hold another season of Survivor there in the near future.

Survivor isn't really 'survivor' til they stop giving them rice & let them fend for themselves completely. But I guess I'm just cruel.

Am I the only one suprised that the show is still on the air? Havent watched it since 2nd season.

This is a real survivor scenario:

But then there wouldn't be any half naked chicks in bikinis that fall off in challenges and the ratings would plummet!

They should put that damn show on another network so we can see all that stuff. I'm tired of them blurring out a buttcrack or questionable slogan on a shirt.
