Wach Oh Wee Ahhh!!!

Damn, just got bought out by Citibank.
I HATE CITIBANK!

I guess not much will change but longer slower lines and triple bank fees. :laughout:

Well at least they didn't collapse.

Oh and this is just a long string of events for me.

I was an account holder at a bank called Hollywood Federal Savings and Loan - my very first bank account. Well they were bought out by First Union. Then First Union got bought by Wachovia. Now Wachovia got bought by Citibank. My account is actually older than the bank! lol

Have you had bad experiences with Citibank? I'm not too familiar with US banks. When I visit Phoenix, I always use the ATM at a bank called Compass Bank? Does that sound right? There are so many of them it seems that just about anyone worth a billion or more can actually open their own bank!

Up here you have a handful of major players and that is it. I have been with RBC (Royal Bank) and BOM (Bank of Montreal) for the bulk of my adult life. RBC pretty much owns my ass. :)

The service at Citibank sucks ass. I used to have to cash my checks there and wanted to hang myself every other Friday.

I stick with Commerce mainly for the extended hours and they have a branch every 20 feet it seems like.

I had the account switch thing with my cell. I was with At&T who became Cingular and is now At&T again. LOL

I don't like any banks...they tell you how much you can take out, when you can take it out, the fees are out of control.

but I have just switched everything over the HSBC and I have to say their online banking sux some major ass, but at least I can access my account from anywhere in the world....

actually BOB that is not a bad idea

i find the whole things rather absurd
i have 4 credit cards
1each Visa/MC for personal
1 each visa/mastercard for business
plus an AMEX
and the 4 are bankcards
which all now seem to be citibank cards

Not yet. My opinion is that bankers think very good every collapse. Banks never lose anything!
