I need your opinion and personal experiences!

I'm leaving next week for Cuba (Usually Varadero), but I'd like to check out Cayo Coco or Cayo Largo to be honest Holguin spooks me a little bit the prices are dirt cheap. Keep in mind I'm travelling alone (not my first time and those who know me know that I'm quite capable of holding my own and staying out of trouble) I stick to the resort.

Opinions and suggested needed please.

Thanks Peeps! :sunshine:

There maybe a category 2 Hurricane hitting Cuba by the weekend, saw the weather this morning. I hope it misses though since you are headed down there.

Not allowed to travel there, sorry!
This is your second trip to cuba right?

I personally wouldn't go back to Cuba. Just not my cup of tea.
I much prefer the DR or Jamaica. :)

Well I picked Cayo Coco, somewhere quiet. If there's a hurricane I'll shack up in my room and read. This will be my third time to Cuba, but first time to Cayo Coco. I leave next Thursday so hopefully it's sunny when I get there!

Been to all three,
Great places Varadero has some good nightlife and dancing.
The other two have nothing but whats at the resort and a couple of guided day trips.
The people of Cuba have always been warm and friendly to me, the only problem I encounter is the beggars and a lot of cheap hookers.
Have fun honey and dont forget to have US one dollar bills when you land to tip the guy who steals...sorry carries your bags.
They rely on you only having 20's when you land.

Is Chris going?

If not and he's staying home, well, I'm confused. I don't know which direction to fly in - North or South.

sounds like a total blast!

I have never been to Cuba nor Dominican republic. I have no interest personally. I went to Salvador and Honduras, two relatively new destinations and it was awesome, ans a few years ago, I went to Mexico but to a small village called Guyabitos Bay and it was really cool.

I prefer weird destinations, not too full of people and places that haven't been invaded by tourists yet...

Have fun!
