Does your car have OnStar ?

I have a friend who has OnStar installed in his SUV but he tells me that he finds it very tough to contact someone for help with anything.

Imagine if you really really needed it and you got put on hold for half an hour or whatever...

I just have cruise control, but I like it, even we closed eyes I get home safely. :bob:

i've got it... only used it once but it was quick and easy. however, when my free year expires i'm not going to pay for the service.

OnStar sounds mostly like a really expensive cell phone plan.

I barely even have a car:(

I have a hard time trusting anything that can unlock my car doors with a few keystrokes on their end. Plus I don't know if I like letting them know exactly where my car is parked at any given time. That just seems like a really bad combination to me.

I think it's awesome!

I suppose in the long run, if you really were stuck in an unimaginable situation, OnStar would be worth 10x the money it cost to subscribe to the service.

my gf has onstar in her escalade

but we haven't used it recently

yeah, I'm also a little leary about someone being able to unlock my car with a few keystrokes...
