once an affiliate gets those first couple checks, the amounts are right, they arrive on time, etc. that affiliate will tell his friends and so on...

I think the most effective ads I have ever done have been print. Then link exchanges. Affiliate programmes seem way, way too expensive. Why would anyone in their right mind pay 50 per cent or more for a client. Maybe someone could enlighten me. Even a real estate agent will only pay 10 per cent for a referral JMHO
