Webmasters screen resolution

I'm curious to know what everyone is using for screen resolution nowadays.

Cyndalie 07-05-2004 02:41 PM

mine is 1280x960 - not listed - 19 inch monitor 96DPI IntelR extreme graphics card

at the office it's a 17 inch monitor with almost no video card so even at the lowest listed above the resolution breaks up. yuk!

DrGuile 07-05-2004 02:41 PM

it varies.

I use 1280 x 1024 one one monitor, and 1600X1400 on the other

Don Soporno 07-05-2004 02:42 PM

I change sometimes, just depends on how my eyes feel..usually the first option.

Magnus3x 07-05-2004 02:45 PM

1024 x 768

bryany 07-05-2004 02:46 PM

I have a 17" Fujitsu laptop that I run at 1400 x 1050

but normally on computers I use 1600x1200

Kenny B 07-05-2004 02:46 PM

I use 1280 x 1024 it's the only setting that looks good on the monitors I have!

LAJ 07-05-2004 02:46 PM

1024x768 for me...

Cyndalie 07-05-2004 02:46 PM

Yeah, it really depends on the size of the monitor and the quality of graphics card. The higher the better I'd say, although I do alot of text heavy work so I need to save my eyesight

CRT
vs. CRT Dynaflat
vs. LCD / flatscreen/laptop

Mikel 07-05-2004 02:47 PM

1024x768 is what look best for my laptop!

Yo Adrian 07-05-2004 02:49 PM

1280 x 1024 at work, 1024 x 768 at home

Brad Mitchell 07-05-2004 02:50 PM

Mine is weird, actually.. I have a triple monitor setup with three 19" monitors, each at 800x600.

Brad

Gamma Eric 07-05-2004 02:52 PM

1024x768 for both screens

pornJester 07-05-2004 02:53 PM

1280 x 1024 on my main one and 1024x768 on my other.

poppy 07-05-2004 02:53 PM

1280 x 1024

Mister X 07-05-2004 02:56 PM

Where's the option for 640x480 :(

Actually I use 1152x864. It gives me a little extra room in things like dreamweaver and premiere for all the menu windows. I would use 1280x1024 but my monitor will only do it at 60hz which is waaaaaaaaay to flickery and hard on the eyes. At the 1152x864 I can run at 75hz.

CumSensei 07-05-2004 02:57 PM

Never below
1280 x 1024

The only resolution! :)

SykkBoy 07-05-2004 02:59 PM

1024X768 here
it wasn't that long ago that I was still using 800x600 (bad eyes)
but it's easier to have it at 1024x768 for design purposes

Bruno Dickman 07-05-2004 03:08 PM

1024 here! Some people here use more than that but for me 1024 is beautiful! :)

GoodChris 07-05-2004 03:08 PM

I have 3 screens on my desk - 17" X 2 running @ 1024x768 and my 19" is running @ 1280x1024

adamneve 07-05-2004 03:12 PM

i use 1024 x 768

Black Dog 07-05-2004 03:13 PM

I chose 1600x1200. But you need good eyes or a huge monitor to use that resolution. Fortunately I have both.

I love when other people look at my screen and say the text is too small for them to read. I tell them that's the point. :)

Mine varies too

GoodChris 07-05-2004 03:26 PM

magnatique 07-05-2004 03:32 PM

1152 x 864 over here, on dual monitor...

so it's really
2304x864 ;)

Visualad 07-05-2004 03:46 PM

1024 x 768
