how can i obtain the permission of doing online business in the US? if i obtain such permission, can i apply it to online-service website, such as selling movies from ftp?

if you are selling from Australia but the websites you are promoting just so happen to be US based you don't need any permission from the US gov't. However, depending on how much you earn you may need to investigate the tax implications.

so, can you tell me where i can go to get the tax information? and if i am going to sell movies, do i need to worry about copyright issue?

Watermakr all your content.... copyright the material so no one else steals it, and sell away..... If you´re offshore, I don´t think there will be too many tax implications... but then again, if you make enough money, the government might just care where their cut is at
