Default Firefox is not Netscape

No Chris. I don't know the entire history, but while the Netscape browser and Firefox used to share the same core engine - they are now completely separate programs. Netscape is dead; it is no longer being maintained. Firefox is continuing to grow in functionality ... and in market share.

My tech support guy says that you cannot downgrade to IE6 because of the way Microsoft intentionally entangled it in the OS. The only option you have to get IE6 back is to reinstall Win XP. I don't see the point in doing so ... it would be easier, quicker and faster to install and use Firefox 3. Try it - I think you will like it.

I still have IE6 but only use it to view sites that are customized specifically for IE and which do not present properly on Firefox.
