Default Processor & AVS Solutions ?

The industry is taking a lot of twists & turns of late when it comes to billing.

Between the Third Party Processors that have gone, the Processors facing the inevitable and now the AVS\'s are starting to fall.

I see a lot of the focus aimed at blaming the processors, blaming the credit card companies, and blaming whom ever is convenient but what I do not see is discussion on a solution.

AVS\'s
#####

Having previously owned an AVS myself, I think the AVS situation should be workable by having the AVS\'s host the sites on their own domains as a free host of sorts and thus they would own the sites so they would be able to process for them.

Yes, not as simple as I have worded it but when the alternative is closing up shop, a little or even a lot of work
to get around this will be worth it.

Processors
##########

I am not as well versed on this topic so this idea may be less than ideal.

There is obviously a work around for it, or the big processors would be gone already.

What about non-American Merchant accounts for the processors? It seems to me that obtaining merchant accounts in other countries would solve a lot of the processors woes, since the charge-back tolerance in other countries are much higher, processing rates are lower, and not sharing these new rules ( I believe ).

Aren\'t these new rules for Visa and MasterCard USA and not the World Wide Operations ?
