I actually paid to have a listing of an adult site with Yahoo, and it's paying off. Now, in the whole submission procedure they put in a disclaimer that if they decide not to list you, you still lose the $600 you put up, but in fact, everyone who puts the money up gets their listing.
I think they just to that disclaimer in there to cover their ASSes (pardon the pun, Socks).
