Here's the deal with the boards. As with everything else board mods are afraid (for good cause, cause this does happen) that if they give an inch, webmasters will take a mile.

What webmasters need to realize is that there is a difference in SPAMMING a board and posting a relevant announcement to it.

An Example

If you are selling a domain (i go with this cause its very common) it is okay to post about it once in a general area. You are making an announcement.... It is not okay to post over and over and over again 45 times a day about your site for sale and nothing else - thats spam.

We need to actively start making a distinction (and I applaud Evil Chris for doing so) between announcements and spam.
