That's funny. Governments decided before anyone set foot on the Moon that its land would be owned by no one. I don't know what the hell is going to happen when people start living on it, even if it 1,000 years from now.
Some retarded cult (or religion, it's hard to tell with some of them) got mad at NASA for sending the Mars robot (pathfinder?) to Mars, since they claimed ownership of it. Ha ha ha ha ha, that was pretty funny.

here is the deal US and Russia along with some other countries agreed that No Country can claim the ownership of the moon. (I think this was in the 60s) One very smart opportunist decided to claim the moon as his property, got approvals from the US and russia and yes he does currently own it, legally. Like it says , presidents and celeberties have bought from him.
thats what I've heard from a couple of people that came up with this idea and then found out someone did it 30 years before them.
