WEEK ONE RESULTS

Injuries, fumbles, interceptions, bad calls, stupid penalties, really stupid play calls, heartbreaking last second losses, 'sure thing' teams not covering the spread.... sounds like a typical week in the NFL. Week one games wrapped up with the Eagles losing to Atlanta, and my Niners taking a 20-3 win over the Vikings. Despite their loss the Eagles looked pretty good. After a myriad of penalties early-on, that guy Bradford found his groove and showed real poise and coolness under fire. In the end it was a game they should have won but at least there's promise there, which is more than you can say for a lot of other teams; Oakland, Tampa, Jacksonville, Cleveland, all right back in the outhouse basement.

Over 80% of the pool got bitten in the ass on the Seahawks loss to the St. Louis Rams, but several of you really capitalized on it. The one who capitalized the most this week though might just be the world's latest 49er fan if he wasn't one already, because that game sealed it for him...

I don't know if I've ever seen more missed field goals in a single NFL week as I did this week. WEEK SIX RESULTS

This was maybe one of the toughest weeks for picks in the entire pool history. Manning throwing INT after INT yet the Broncos are 6-0. Buffalo and Jacksonville put on a pretty good show in London England, the Jags surprising a lot of people with the upset win over there.

WEEK FOURTEEN RESULTS

I’ve been putting this off for several weeks now but I think it’s finally time to talk about the NFC East. This once mighty division has become sort of the “pointy-hat-wearing fat kid in the corner” of the league this year, and I guarantee you that no one who knows a thing about football would have predicted the Redskins at 6-7 would be this div’s leader (and currently headed to the playoffs no less). Dallas at least has their “we lost our QB” excuse, sort of, but the Eagles and Giants have no excuse whatsoever. Especially the EAGLES, but either one of them should really be owning it right now.... except they aren’t. They’re not out of it yet of course, but.... are the Deadskins really going to the playoffs???

Some years it seems the later in the season we get the crazier the games get, and this year is one of those. Raiders getting sack after sack on the Broncos 2nd stringer and beating them, a team that was NOT all QB and was winning even in spite of Manning’s so-so performance. Wow, I never thought I’d see it. Jacksonville utterly destroying Indianapolis, again wow. And Carolina the ONLY undefeated team?? Just wow.

Some wild and crazy games this week. Odell Beckam Jr goes batshit crazy in that Giants – Panthers game on Sunday for one, incurring three unnecessary roughness penalties which very likely cost his team the game.
