Dear Abby!
I had made this great friend through the boards and ICQ and I got a bit belligerent one night (imagine that!!!) and may have scared that person away for good. This person meant a lot to me. I said some pretty crazy shit (ok, got carried away  ) Anyway, I'm sad and I miss this person...What can I do? 
This person did mention they didn't take me seriously. Anyone that knows me well here, knows I'm as true as they get! Perhaps a bit too honest at times!

Everyone has an off day now and then, and everyone is aware that simple text can easily be misinterpreted, and cannot always convey tone.
Given these, the person will surely come around. Send a thoughtful email or a silly e-card, and put it behind you.
