You know, as a teenager I could never figure out why Duckie didn't go off with Molly Ringwald at the end of the movie. I was really upset that she chose Andrew McArthey over him. Watching the movie now, through my gay adult eyes, I realize why. I mean, it's so obvious! Look at those shoes! That bolo tie! The little hats and way too cool, yet offbeat, style. Our little Ducky was definitely a nancyboy. Ironic how I used to aspire to be like him. I wonder if John Hughes had this in mind when he made the movie. Hmmm.
