I remember when I was a kid, playing on our bikes and setting up ramps to jump over stuff and we all pretended we were Evil Kneivel. It really was a very big deal back then especially amonst us young boys. We all wanted to be that dare-devil and whenever there was something on TV with him jumping or doing a stunt we all asked to stay up late and watch it.
The jump over the fountain at Caesar's Palace in Las Vegas will be forever etched in my mind. That was quite a wipe out.

I didn't really grow up in that age, but I do remember watching Super Dave, which was a kids take on him I believe.

We used to watch Super Dave on "Bizarre" years ago. That was a very funny show. The actor who played him is Bob Einstein. You can see him in a re-curring role on "Curb your Enthusiasm" in the role of Marty Funkhouser. He's still funny.  |

I'm 46 - and I remember those days where we all wanted to be like Evil and also Super Dave (LOL). RIP and thanks for giving us such a happy childhood doing stunts and jumps - always promoting safety first
