LOL! There's far worse things to spend money on. 
I avoid eBay though. I'd end up buying things that I don't really need or want. The temptation is just far too much with all the items on there. I let the eBay hunting up to my BF and my brother whenever I want something. They have an ability to go on there and find really good deals for things like phones, cameras, and misc techie gadget stuff.
