Holy crap it's December!
Where did the year go???
This month rounds out a year of firsts in my life. Pretty amazing how time flies when things are new and good.
I'm so not ready for the Holidays, but we decided that this year is about spending time with and appreciating one another -- family. With my Brother In Law finally out of the Army after 3 tours in Iraq, he's finally home and getting treatment for PTSD. Health on all sides of the family has improved. Financially things suck and nothing is easy, but we can all really appreciate the fact we are all together, there is new life in our family, and we still enjoy good times together.
What are this years holidays about for you?

Christmas is my favorite time of the year, same for my kids. And no its not just about the presents for them. LOL
Ever since my mother passed, my kids were really close with her, we have taken over the tradition of Christmas Eve open house. The first year without her we promised that no matter what we would always be together on that day.
This year I am finally in a great relationship and have gotten close with my boyfriends whole immediate family. While I always had my kids its great to have that whole family feeling back again and feel part of something like that again.

Always reluctant to wish time away but many people will be glad to see the end of 2008 - and in spite of all the hype I think people are looking forward with expectation to all the changes in 2009 ...

Feels like summer just ended!
That's ok.... soon it will be March and we'll all be looking forward to springtime conditions, and of course the NHL playoffs... (not that my team will be involved with that!)
