I have noticed that most of the programs that recently closed their doors were primarily the ones involved in various shady business practices like cross-sales. I also don't believe it has anything to do with the industry in general or is a "sign of the times". I see it as a sign that those that couldn't make a legitimate buck being caught up in the times of tightening up by the banks and credit card companies. Ripping off your customer is never a good long term strategy, and that finally caught up with them all.
Unfortunately, their practices have tarnished many others as they have made the consumer quite gun shy when dealing with Adult.
