Reasons to watch the Superbowl
There's something I like about watching the Superbowl. Actually there are several things, least of all is the actual game.
It's a great time to check out who paid the (extremely) big bucks for a 30 second ad spot during the game, and what innovative (and often humorous) commercials get aired.
But this year's Superbowl is special in a more specific way for me.
Both of the teams have pirates in their logos.
I don't know who to cheer for!

I like watching the commercials.

I'd watch no matter who was playing, but since the hometown Buccaneers are in, it will be even more terrific.
Based on Tampa newspapers and local TV news, it appears that there are no other current events taking place besides the game. Because that is all they are talking/writing about.

Definitely the commercials!!! There's only one rule around here on Superbowl Sunday. Talk all you want during the game, but not a peep during the commercials!!!
What I REALLY hate though is the companies that spend multi-million dollars on a spot--AND THEN RUN A RE-RUN COMMERCIAL!! Sheesh!! HOw stupid is THAT??!!?? If you're going to pay that kind of money for a commercial spot, spend a little more and make a NEW Commercial!! Sheesh....
