Who Likes Flying and Planes ?

I was on the board of director of a local chapter of the Experimental Aircraft Association ( EAA) for several years.

I worked on homebuild aircrafts quite a lot.

The S45 Mystère is really looking like the BD-5, aka Lawn Dart, (James Bond Octopussy's one seater micro-jet of which original model is motorized by a propeller in the tail) revamped so that it could be made to fly out of a short field instead of a 2 miles runway. Pretty cool !

I also always fascinated by the SeaWind amphibian

It was bug ridden at the beginning, very complex to build, but they stuck to the concept and it seems to be getting better. I've heard of a few turbine conversions.

Among other planes that I've always liked is the SeaBee "flying Floating Winnebago"

Then, there is this exciting turbine conversion of something that looks like an Aerocruiser or a Bush Caddy.

It takes only a propellerhead to appreciate that, mebbe, by trust me on that, turbine conversions ARE exciting !
