Are you a swimmer?

Saturday night I got to go swimming for the first time since I've moved up here over a year ago in a heated pool at a little gathering at a friends house. It was sooon nice! I love to swim, I think it's the BEST Exercise! WHen I was a kid you couldn't keep me out of the water or ocean, I grew up with my face in the water!

Are you a swimmer? How often do you get to go swimming?

I just got my pool open on friday, so I have swim everyday since, other then the days it rained.

I don't do much actual swimming, but a lot of bathing / jumping around in the water / splashing etc...

I still remember taking swimming lessons when I was 5 or 6. One of the instructors (unbelievably) thought I already knew how to swim and he threw me in the deep end. They had to come and pull me out. It wasn't a fun experience but luckily it didn't keep me away from pools for the rest of my life.

I had a drunk uncle do that to me when I was a kid at bbq. He picked me up and said "do you know how to swim yet?" and threw me in. My aunt jumped in and fished me out. I can still see up through the water in my memory clear as day. I'm lucky too it didnt scare me out of the pool forever! People are so dumb!

as much as possible...your absolutely right about great execrcise... helps my back problems... love the water... ice cold too when its as cold as a small pinky finger

During the summer we go every other day.

Our house in Phoenix had a pool so it was a blast, and I grew up having a pool so I love to swim.

i would love to be a swimmer.. but it seems swimming doesn't want/love me. lol!

I love to swim. I was on the swim team in high school, and I go to the pool all the time. I finally got my son to start swimming, he's 7. He had some strange phobia of getting water on his hair, probably schitzophrenia or something, but he's over it and spends as much time as he can with a mask and snorkel, even in our tub. Our bathtub in our house is about the size of a kids pool, you know those hard plastic ones, only the tub is deeper.

We unfortunately don't have our own pool yet, maybe next Spring, we'll see how the year treats me financially. Oh, and for all you stock traders... ENER. Look it up.

I'm a decent swimmer, I'm more the type to float on a chair in a pool than to do actually swim....lol Yup I'm a princess....I do have a sweet looking pool boy *wink*

I'm not much of a swimmer, but I am an accomplished frolicker. My girlfriend, who's 1/4 French and 1/8 sea otter, swears she's going to make a swimmer of me yet though

My gf has been hinting at possible naked frolicking at the nude beach, which has me turned around on the whole swimming thing. Not sure if that requires a permit...

I HATE water with a passion! (except a spa and obviously my shower! lol)

I am a good swimmer but it takes a tremendous effort for me to swim because I sink, I don't float.

But anyway, I hate water! pools, lakes, yuck... Most of my friends have a pool, i don't even bring my bathing suit! Nor when I go to the lake! Maybe it's just because I sink...

I am a water baby... born of water, near fish!
I swim whenever possible, not a fan of pols, oceans lakes, rivers, anywhere safe and fun to frolick. Grew up near the water, love to body board, surf, jetski, wakeboard...
