The guy is in mid 30's, 5'10''. Still a great player but do we still need him. Kovalev clearly showed he could do the job and I'm sure some other team that needs an experience player would be glad to trade something hot for Koivu.
Good question and I hadn't really given it much thought. Gainey is still going for an "impact player" and it's obvious that Ryder won't be a Hab next year. Not sure about Koivu though so we'll have to wait and watch the Montreal media.
Is Koivu going to be with Montreal next season???
