Default New Firefox browser

I just installed it on FB's computer and I'd have to recommend everyone try it. Loads pages faster than IE. For me it does anyway.

Check it out: http://www.mozilla.org/products/firefox/

I can't use it really but everyone raves about it.. It doesn't open links properly and for my daily work it's nothing but a waste of time.. I've tried them all and I think it's a toss up between Maxthon and Advanced Browser.. Both stop active x and pop ups, Since both are structured like IE you can keep all your bookmarks without having to import and export between the two.

Hmmmm... Maybe I'll try Firefox later today just to see. I use Avant Browser right now. I normally don't jump the gun and start changing things, especially when nothing is wrong in the first place and it isn't a serious issue like some security thing, but I've heard people for weeks now raving about FireFox. My curiosity is getting the better of me.

i currently use Netscape 7.1 and works well like Firefox since both are designed under Mozilla Technology. Gone are the days IR rule !

I used Firefox and Hungryman coaxed me into using Avant Browser (an IE-based browser). When my C: drive had a hardware failure last week, I installed Avant Browser instead of Firefox.

I'm getting over the complexity of Avant. I liked Firefox though. I'd go back to Firefox, but there are minor bugs (won't play certain things) and I'm just too friggin lazy.

If it ain't broken, just don't fix it...

I've been using Firefox for a little over a year now. It's really great. Highly configurable, and fast. I haven't come across any links or pages yet that don't render correctly. I can't say the same for MSIE. (read: standard PNG support)

I found sound would not play in Firefox, and the plugins refused to install properly.

http://flashblock.mozdev.org/

Are 2 other firefoxpluggins worth looking at.

Talking about the plugin, not the browser

I have been on FireFox for about 1 month now and I like it. I just had to switch to FireFox as my default browser to make me use it I like the tabbed browsing and such, makes things really easy.

And t hanks for that Page Rank extension, I got the google toolbar one and no one seemed to know about this page rank one, so I plan on passing it around... Thanks!

Andy

The only other gripe I have about firefox is the popup stopper doesn't sound off like it does in mozilla.

It helps to have a sound alert when reviewing tons of galleries.

Anyone know of a plugin that has a popup stopper with sound?

I installed FireFox yesterday. I too had to set it as my default browser to force me to use it. I've found a skin I like and installed some cool plugins, so it's good to go!

I've installed today, I was using the older version in my house and this is really nice, and the other as well.

Is there a setting that I need to change to get many animations to play correctly? My old avatar works fine in IE based browsers, but not in FireFox. I've noticed other animations as well that are all off.

Anyone have any ideas, suggestions, or a solution?
