working in front of the TV today
I don't normally do this, but today I'm going to set myself up to work in front of the television.
If you follow sports you'll already know why. The US Open has gone to a playoff situation. Tiger Woods and Rocco Mediate tee off for an 18 hole playoff round this morning at 11:30, then at 2:45pm this afternoon Germany and Austria play a match in the Euro 2008 tournament.
In the soccer, I'm cheering for Germany but as for the golf... I'm just hoping it's an exciting playoff.

Are you sure it's 11:30 AM EST or is it 2:30 EST?

Fishing is one thing that WILL put me to sleep on television.
Even my father and brother who are both very avid fishermen, cannot watch that on TV.
It's like watching paint dry!

I always have the TV on next to me, it's usually on BNN or CNBC.

Oh Man.. poor Rocco is'nt playing the same Golf he was the last few days. I know he likes to have fun.. but sometimes you have to put your head down and concentrate on the job at hand, especially when you have the best of the best playing next to you and is all focus.

Tiger doesn't seem to be all there either. I can't remember watching a major where so many fairways have been missed.
I think Rocco is just playing with a 'nuthin to lose' attitude. The gallery is sure behind him that's for sure.

I think it came down to mental toughness in the end. Rocco Mediate will always be remembered for pushing Tiger to 18+1 holes of extra time in the 2008 US Open.
He played amazing win or lose.
