I don't mind winter too much. It's the extreme cold that gets to me sometimes though. I used to ski a lot too. When I was living in Europe I skiied in Germany, France, Austria, Italy, and Switzerland. Mostly in Germany and Austria.
The thing is, you can ski those places and it's not -25 at the top of the mountain like it is here.
We skiied the glacier at
Saas-Fee in late August one time and we were dressed in light ski pants and a sweat-shirt.
