I think that people should just talk a little more about the biz in the general forum. It's fun to read about jokes and what people did in their weekend, but I personally would find it cool to read the board and once in a while step in a thread that talks about something I didn't know that might help me in my webmaster abilities. It would create variation, and I wouldn't mind seeing what other designers are designing hehe

A content forum, as well as a design forum would be sweet !
Of course they will not see anywhere near the amount of traffic as the main forum, but it would be nice to have a place where I can spam PAYSITE DESIGN and PAYSITE PIXX freely ...

Welp, I think Xnations has it all in its current form, if a marketing forum was needed, hosting forum etc., these issues are niche and could be handled with a start of a kickass thread to draw in more posters to Xnations :-)
PS--I like your board babee :-) But I made that clear on Pond last night when I thumbed down NetPonds ".05 per post" message board affiliate program. Bad idea, IMHO.

Thanks everyone for the impressive feedback on this.
Even though I'm tempted to add a marketing type forum, I think it's probably a wise idea to stay with the forums we have right now.
The idea for a marketing forum is a good one, however isn't that what the main forum is in the first place?
I agree that what most folks do at a board is go for the main board, because that is where we all network and market our ideas with one another.

My primary goal in visiting xNations is to gain a better understanding of both the business and the people building the business.
The general board here gives me plenty of both. Well stated titles to threads and your great search facilities keep it simple.

we had a graphics forum www.freeadultgraphics.com
went well for about a month.. but then became deserted...
problem with a content only forum would most likely be the same thing.. only a ton more spam.. and people would still go to the main forum and post their seacrh for content needed.. b/c they would not want to waste the time wading through the content forum...
lastly... we do not need any other content providers or webmasters trying to define the laws...

I think it'd be about the only board with "actual" post consisting of ideas to increase, exchange, and manage traffic including search engine topics, trade needs, and new generation methods and ideas
