I remember hearing last year that the footage of Palestinians cheering in the streets (some with burning American flags) was actually from several years back (maybe during the Gulf War?!) and NOT a reaction to the WTC attacks. Dunno if that's true, but I can certainly buy it.

Just some food for thought...

TV and the silver screen are notorious for romantisizing (sp?) stories of the past. Take for example the Movie Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid. The movie made you love those guys. It was practically classified as a comedy when in truth, these guys were brutal killers and bank robbers... not the heros of the old west as we're led to believe.

What's in store in 100 years? That Ted Bundy was an American hero?
