Default Kazaa Lite Blocks AP Traffic

Today I installed Kazaa Lite version 2.0 and the new version
installs a host file onto windows computers which basically
reroutes traffic so that it will block ads that Kazaa might
display. However it seems to block much more then Kazaa ads.

After failing to get to the stats area for AP I did some
investigating and found that one of the lines in the host file that
Kazaa Lite installs is this:

127.0.0.1 ctc.amateurpages.com

I am not sure how many potential customers use Kazaa Lite but the ones who install it will not be able to reach AP. If many people use Kazaa Lite this could definetely influence the amount of traffic we send to AP.

With the death of many of the other programs, I think kazaa lite will become increasingly popular.

I think the large majority of kazaa users use the regular version of the prog and not the lite one. With that said it kind of pisses me off that KazaaLite blocks things that have absolutely no affiliation with the scumbags that run Kazaa. Sextracker et al don't even advertise with them do they?

If you can't find it search your windows folder for the file "hosts"

On NT system it's located in:

c:\winnt\system32\dns\etc

I guess on other Win comps it's in:

c:\windows\system32\dns\etc

Does no one else notice that machoman copied that post word for word from GFY??

I mean, it was someone else's post... back in November... and he copied it and went and posted it as his own on EVERY single board in the business.

He does it on a daily basis. Expect another one today.... copied from an old post... posted here along with every other board.

Oh, and you'll also notice... machoman never returns to the board a second time in the day... he makes the one post and disappears until the next day.

I've been tracking it for a bit. At first I didn't care much, but now I see it for what it is... creative spam. He is simply getting his sig viewed as much as possible on all boards with no desire what so ever to get involved with any of the boards or get to know anyone.

and he's stealing old posts to get his sig out there.
